In a typical line it occupies the first chemical stage, followed by rinsing and then pickling or activation; in electro-cleaning duty, applied current assists the alkaline bath in lifting drawing oils, lubricants, and shop soil from the workpiece surface. Buyers should confirm compatibility with their substrates, agree bath make-up concentration and operating temperature by trial on their own parts, and establish a titration-based control routine so the bath is dosed on measurement rather than on schedule. Ask the supplier how cleaner life can be extended — oil separation or bath maintenance practice — what the rinse requirements are before the next stage, and how spent-bath disposal interacts with your effluent plant, since a phosphate-based cleaner contributes to phosphorus load.
