Last updated: January 2026. These terms govern your use of the CHIMI ART website (chimiart.com) and any related services.
1. Website Use
This website is provided by CHIMI ART for Chemical Industries for informational purposes about our chemical products and services. Product specifications, technical data, and application guidelines are provided in good faith but should be verified for your specific conditions.
2. Product Information
While we strive for accuracy, product specifications, pricing, and availability are subject to change without notice. Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) available on this site are for reference. Always request the latest version from our technical team before use in critical applications.
3. Quotations & Orders
Online quote requests and sample requests are inquiries only and do not constitute a binding contract. All orders are subject to our standard terms and conditions of sale, available upon request. Pricing is provided on a per-inquiry basis and may vary by volume, destination, and specifications.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, product names, and technical documentation — is the property of CHIMI ART for Chemical Industries. CHIMI ART® is a registered trademark. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.
5. Limitation of Liability
CHIMI ART shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of information on this website. Chemical products must be used in accordance with their Safety Data Sheets and applicable regulations. Users are responsible for determining the suitability of products for their intended applications.
6. Minimum Order Quantities
Orders are subject to minimum order quantities (MOQs) which vary by product and packaging format. Liquid products in drums: minimum 1 pallet (4 drums / 800L). IBC containers: minimum 1 IBC (1,000L). Bulk tanker deliveries: minimum 20 tonnes. Powder products: minimum 1 pallet (40 bags × 25 kg = 1,000 kg). MOQs may be waived for first-time trial orders at CHIMI ART's discretion. Current MOQs are provided with each quotation.
7. Payment Terms
Payment terms are determined by customer status and order history. New customers: prepayment or irrevocable letter of credit (L/C) at sight required before shipment. Established accounts (minimum 6 months history with satisfactory payment record): Net 30 days from date of invoice. Key accounts (annual volume > 500 tonnes): Net 45–60 days, subject to credit approval. All invoices are denominated in USD or EUR unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments are subject to interest at 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.
8. Shipping & Delivery Terms
All shipments are governed by Incoterms 2020. Standard delivery terms include: EXW (Ex Works) — buyer assumes all risk and cost from our warehouse in 10th of Ramadan City or 6th of October City, Egypt. FOB (Free on Board) — risk transfers to buyer when goods pass the ship's rail at the Egyptian port of loading (Alexandria or Damietta). CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) — CHIMI ART arranges and pays for freight and insurance to the named destination port. Delivery times are estimates only and do not constitute guaranteed delivery dates. CHIMI ART shall not be liable for delays caused by force majeure, port congestion, or carrier issues.
9. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: raw material shortages or price spikes affecting chemical precursors (sulfuric acid, bauxite, iron ore); government export restrictions, sanctions, or trade embargoes; disruption to the Suez Canal or major shipping routes; natural disasters, epidemics, or pandemics; power outages or utility failures at manufacturing facilities; labor disputes, strikes, or civil unrest; and regulatory changes requiring reformulation or recertification of products. The affected party must notify the other within 7 days and use commercially reasonable efforts to resume performance. If force majeure continues for more than 90 days, either party may terminate the affected order without penalty.
10. Product Warranty & Limitations
CHIMI ART warrants that products conform to the specifications stated in the applicable Technical Data Sheet (TDS) at the time of shipment. This warranty is void if: products are stored outside conditions specified in the TDS or SDS; products are used beyond their stated shelf life; products are mixed with incompatible chemicals without CHIMI ART's written approval; or products are used for applications not recommended in the TDS. CHIMI ART's liability is limited to replacement of non-conforming product or credit of the purchase price, at CHIMI ART's sole discretion. In no event shall CHIMI ART be liable for consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, plant downtime, or environmental cleanup costs. Users are solely responsible for determining the suitability of products for their specific applications through appropriate testing.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cairo, Egypt.
