NSF/ANSI 60 Certified Ferric Chloride

What NSF/ANSI 60 certification means

NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 is the North-American health-effects standard for chemicals added to drinking water. A product carrying it has been independently evaluated to confirm that, dosed at or below its certified maximum use level, it does not introduce contaminants into treated water above health-based limits. For a municipal water authority, an NSF/ANSI 60 listing is the baseline procurement requirement — and an independently verifiable one.

Our NSF/ANSI 60 listing (verify it yourself)

CHIMIFLOC FR 4014 — CHIMI ART’s 40% ferric chloride (FeCl₃) — is listed under NSF/ANSI 60 for drinking-water coagulation, certificate C0237336, maximum use level 100 mg/L, produced at our 6th of October City facilities.

Also REACH-registered for EU markets

Iron trichloride (FeCl₃, CAS 7705-08-0, EC 231-729-4) is registered under EU REACH (Reg. (EC) No 1907/2006) via our appointed Only Representative — so FR 4014 is REACH-registered for the EU market.

Certification is product-specific (the honest scope)

NSF/ANSI 60 and REACH apply to our ferric chloride (FR 4014) specifically — the certifications attach to the manufacturer, facility and listed product, not to a category. Our other coagulants (ferrous chloride, ferrous sulphate, polyaluminium chloride) and commodities are supplied to their own specifications and do not carry the NSF or REACH marks. CHIMI ART’s quality, environmental and occupational-health management systems are ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 certified (a company-level certification, not a per-product claim).

Why source NSF-certified ferric chloride from an Egyptian manufacturer

A verifiable NSF/ANSI 60 listing from a 30,000 t/yr Egyptian manufacturer means export buyers across MENA, Europe and the Gulf get a drinking-water-grade coagulant that passes the certification screen — with the listing checkable in seconds, not taken on trust.
