Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals — Health Effects
NSF/ANSI/CAN 60
NSF/ANSI/CAN 60 is the North American standard that drinking-water utilities require for any chemical added to potable water. NSF International (Ann Arbor, MI; ANSI- and SCC-accredited) recognises Chimiart's listed products as complying with NSF/ANSI 60 and all applicable requirements. Listed products have been independently tested for maximum dose, residual contaminants (lead, arsenic, selenium, etc.), and end-product impact on finished drinking water.

What this means for you
Municipal water utilities in the US, Canada, and any jurisdiction referencing NSF 60 (including most Gulf utilities) can purchase Chimiart products without separate health-effects qualification — the NSF listing is the qualification.
What the audit covers
- Toxicology review of every formulation component
- Maximum-use-level (MUL) determination for drinking water
- Residual heavy-metal testing on finished product
- Manufacturing facility audit by NSF inspectors
- Ongoing surveillance of listed formulations
